Case note

Students registered for the University of London International Programmes LLB CLRI examination in 2015 are required to submit a case note based on the report of Valilas v Januzaj [2014] EWCA Civ 436 and to submit the case note before midnight on Tuesday 4th March 2015.

In addition the May exam will include a compulsory part – Part A – requiring candidates to answer a number of questions about the decision of the Court of Appeal. Part A will carry 25% of the overall marks for the CLRI examination. In addition to the case note part A will contain an extract from another unseen case. 20% of the overall marks will be allocated to the Valilas v Januzaj case note and 5% to questions about the unseen case.

Candidates will not be permitted to take the case note into the examination.

This audio presentation analyses the decision in detail and provides a clear analysis and summary of the majority and minority opinions and the points of agreement and disagreement between them.
